Hi Laserbods,

What a week.

A quick thank you to John Shapton for updating the Summer Series for us. Thanks John!

Frankie seems to be running away with it at the moment, so I think this calls for some tactical sailing. Lots of covering.

Last Sunday  (Father’s Day) was, as I suspected it would be, a fab sail. Even Oscar Chess found himself abandoning the safe untackable Dart for the more manoeuvrable Kirby Torch…er sorry… Laser… I’m sure he wasn’t disappointed even if he came in after Patrick Morgan.

So, tomorrow looks like a force 5 gusting 6 Westerly (that’s aout 16knts gusting 25), so that’s at the outer limit for fun sailing and is verging on a mad challenge!

I don’t know whether the race will be on, but the DoomBar will be 🙂

I hope you all don’t miss me too much. I will be back in that Laser in about a month.

Father’s Day 11:00 Summer 5 & 6 OOD Dick Lewis

Hi Laserbods,
Well it looks like Summer is over, Autumn is in full swing, the leaves will fall off the trees, a flake of snow will fall in Wales somewhere, then the supermarkets will be selling easter eggs, then it’s Father’s Day on Sunday.
Wow the seasons have really sped up, which is what I need to do with my sailing (or should I call it ‘snailing’).
If you’re feeling a bit sluggish, then come out and blaze a laser trail through Swansea Bay this Thursday…. hang on….what???….too much wind?….
Someone’s been on the Guru again! Put that down and have a wee dram of Penderyn to calm your nerves (0ver 18’s only, other brands of Whiskey are available).

OOD Dick Lewis.
Now I expect Dick will want to give you all the a full treatment (trapezoidal please). He really is the dog’s bananas when it comes to race management.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience his professionalism (that’s if he’s back from… where’s he gone this time???)
Well I’ve run out of time and really need to get home now and eat cake!
